چکیده

There are about 3,000 different kinds of mosquitoes, and together they kill millions people every year. Most species include adult females that use a proboscis to feed on the blood wide variety victims, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, even other arthropods. They don't eat blood, however; it's used give their eggs protein boost. As result ability bite consume viruses, several considered vectors illnesses such as malaria, dengue, chikungunya, zika, encephalitis, yellow fever, filariasis, west nile virus, many more. Predators, diseases, parasites, or rivals may all play role biocontrol agents. Biocontrol agents come in forms, frogs, lizards, mosquitoes (Including cannibalistic species), dragonflies, insects, mites, copepods, helminths, planarians, bacteria, fungi, etc. This article discusses current historical state various techniques, well prospective fight against mosquitoes.

Biological control of mosquitoes with mermithids.

Mermithid nematodes parasitizing mosquitoes have substantial potential for vector control. Studies on the physiological ecology of Romanomermis culicivorax have defined some of the general requirements of mermithid nematodes and produced general guidelines for the experimental release of mermithids in biological control. Experimental field studies have established the biological control potenti...

Factors affecting growth of killifish, Aphanius dispar, a potential biological control of mosquitoes

Preliminary experiments were carried out on the growth of killifish, Aphanius dispar. The motivation of the study was to obtain information for growing the fish on a commercial scale for their use as biological control agents of mosquito larvae. Growth of fry in the laboratory was found to be exponential, where the degree of variance in size among the fry increased with age. Grading the fry was...

Biological Evaluation of Heterocycle Moiety of Some Novel azoles Derivatives as Antibacterial and Antifungal potential Agents

Background & Objective: Azole nucleuses are very important part of antimicrobial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs. The azole class of compounds is the most popular among the antibacterial and antifungal classes because of its lower toxicity, higher efficacy and a broad spectrum of activity. Today, Efforts have focused on the development of new, less toxic and more efficacious antifungal a...

Marine isolates of Trichoderma spp. as potential halotolerant agents of biological control for arid-zone agriculture.

The scarcity of fresh water in the Mediterranean region necessitates the search for halotolerant agents of biological control of plant diseases that can be applied in arid-zone agriculture irrigated with saline water. Among 29 Trichoderma strains previously isolated from Mediterranean Psammocinia sp. sponges, the greatest number of isolates belong to the Trichoderma longibrachiatum-Hypocrea ori...
